Programs/Services

What We Do

We offer a range of harm reduction services:

  • Syringe Exchange—Available at all of our locations: our mobile health unit, our neighborhood harm reduction center, and by appointment through our arranged delivery service.
  • HIV/AIDS Testing—Get your results within 20 minutes! No blood draw is required: only a cheek swab. Available at all of our locations.
  • Drug Treatment Referrals and Information—Available at all of our locations
  • Safer Sex Information and Materials—Offered at all of our locations and community partners
  • Overdose Prevention Education—Materials and one-on-one counseling sessions. Available at all of our locations.
  • Viral Hepatitis Education—Available at all of our locations
  • Wound Care: Materials, education, and referrals. Available at all of our locations.
  • Food Distribution—On-site on our mobile health unit
  • Support Groups—We offer a variety of support programs and groups at our neighborhood harm reduction center. Learn more.
  • Case Management and Treatment Adherence: we provide this service to our clients who are living with HIV at our neighborhood harm reduction center.

Where We Do It

We deliver our services at different locations and times:

  • Mobile Health Unit—We come to you to deliver our services on our R.V. at nine different location 6 days a week. Weekly RV schedule.
  • Neighborhood Harm Reduction Center—Located at 2501 Benning Road, NE, our doors are open during our office hours of Monday to Friday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
  • Arranged Delivery—Our services are offered at home by appointment every Friday. Please call 202-588-5580 to make arrangements.
